Dutch NPSA Group
Description:
This group is open to everybody who is interested in neuropsychoanalysis. We share our ideas and views on articles and books we read, we discuss cases from a neuropsychoanalytical perspective, we inform our members on (Zoom-) meetings we have participated in, and we aim to broaden the support for neuropsychoanalytical knowledge
We now are developing a “story” that seeks to convey how (healthcare) professionals can benefitted from neuropsycholoanalysis, especially in the light of the developments in affective neuroscience. We want to demonstrate the relevance for prevention as well as treatment in different mental and somatic healthcare settings. We aim to tell that “story” not only to those in the medical profession, but also to the decision-makers in government and insurance. The aim is to show that especially affects need to be considered in both medical and psychosocial treatments as well as policies in order to induce more lasting changes, improve effectiveness and efficiency in clinical practice.
