EMBODIED MEMORIES

 

This Conference, organized by the Centro Psicoanalitico di Roma, will address current understandings regarding memory embodiment. It is endorsed by the Societa Psicoanalitica Italiana (SPI) and the International Psychoanalytical association (IPA).

Leading neuroscientists, including Professor Horst Kächele, Professor Manos Tsakiris, and Professor Oliver Turnbull, will introduce and discuss the most recent theories on plasticity of embodiment and emotional memories in amnesia and psychosomatics.

The overall proceedings will comprise three sessions based on clinical psychoanalytical presentations interwoven with theoretical content.
