Frankfurt
Description:
In our regular meetings we discuss ongoing and prospective projects: 1. NeuroBind – an ongoing project, funded by the German Research Foundation. It is a cooperation with the so called IDeA Center, an excellency center for interdisciplinary research of the State of Hessen. We compare neurobiological correlates of securely attached children with those with a desorganized attachment. 2. FRED – the “Frankfurt fMRI/EEG Depression Study” is being finalized. It investigates effects of medical or psychotherapeutic interventions on brain functioning via fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) and EEG (electroencephalogram). Using individualized stimuli retrieved from an OPD-Interview for one and from recurring dreams of the patients for the other, changes of brain reactions to these stimuli in the course of therapy over a time period of 15 months are recorded and analyzed. Two more projects are in preparation: 3. In cooperation with Mark Solms, Heinz Weiss, Ute Meyding-Lamadé and research groups at the Nordwest Krankenhaus (Frankfurt) and the Bosch Klinik (Stuttgart) we are testing Mark´s hypotheses on the generation of dreams with stroke patients.
