Bios

Irith Barzel-Raveh is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and supervisor in Psychotherapy. She is an Organizational Consultant, the Founder and Chairwoman of the Israeli Neuropsychoanalytic Society, and a Founder member and a Board member of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society. She coordinated an interdisciplinary course at the Tel Aviv University Medical School of “Normalcy in Infancy”. She taught “infant observation” in collaboration with the Tavistock to a range of professionals from multiple disciplines. She was head clinical psychologist of the Neuropediatric infant development center for the Tel-Aviv area and was head of 26 well baby transdisciplinary clinics. She is a specialist in Professor Heinz Precwtel’s (from Graz, Austria) method of functional assessment of fetus General Movement (functional assessment of the brain). She is an organizational consultant for the IFSI (International Forum of Social Innovation) in Paris. She enhanced the understanding of Group Processes with the help of the IGA (Institute of Group Psychoanalysis). While she was co-chair of the scientific committee of the Israel association of psychotherapy, she joined the Institute of Ferencz studies and initiated and coordinated a course, “Ferenczi in the clinic”, which was held in seven countries around the world. She is enrolled in a PhD programme in Psychoanalysis and Hermeneutics at Bar-Ilan University, were she is working on her dissertation with the guidance of Dr Aner Govrin and Professor Mark Solms. She also works at her private clinic.

 

Francesco Castellet y Ballará is a neurologist and psychiatrist who trained at the Italian Psychoanalytical Society (SPI). He is a Full Member of the SPI/IPA. He teaches Neuroesthetics at the University of Tor Vergata, Rome. He has a large amount of experience with international organisations having served for the IPSO and the IPA as a committee board member. He is also one of the organisers of several editions of the Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto: Cinema and Psychoanalysis, Art and Psy choanalysis sections. His main areas of interest are: psychoanalysis and neuroscience, early relational trauma and adult psychopathology, pornography, and money. He is currently the psychiatric and psychoanalytic consultant at the Italian site of the European Space Agency (ESA). He is co-founder of the Italian Psychoanalytic Dialogues Association.

 

Paul Moore is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, in private practice in Ireland. He is Course Director of the M.Sc. in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin and lecturers in psychoanalysis and neuropsychoanalysis in Trinity College and other third level educational institutes. Paul is a former Chair of the Irish Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (IIPP), and is also a Training Analyst for the IIPP. He is a founding member and group leader of Neuropsychoanalysis Ireland. In addition to general practice in psychotherapy, Paul specialises in psychotherapy for people who have experienced a brain injury, people on the autistic spectrum, and collaborates with Professor Oliver Turnbull’s Emotion Research Lab at Bangor University North Wales, where the team are investigating the neural correlates of psychotherapy. In this context, Paul has worked psychoanalytically, both long-term and short-term, with people who have profound amnesia as a consequence of brain injury.

 

Claudia Spadazzi, MD, is a Full Member of the Italian Psychoanalytical Society, a clinical psychologist, gynaecologist, and sexual therapist. She is a visiting Professor in Psychosomatic Gynaecology at Università Politecnica delle Marche. She has been part of the IPA Committee: IPA/IPSO, COWAP, and Public Information. She is interested in neurosciences, psychosomatics, and female psychosexuality. She is the co-founder of Italian Psychoanalytic Dialogues association.

 

 

Rosa Spagnolo, MD, Neuropsychiatrist for Children; Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist; Psychoanalyst, Full Member of Italian Psychoanalytical Society (SPI/IPA). She currently lives and works in Rome. She is the co-founder of Italian Psychoanalytic Dialogues Association, the organizer of the annual IPD/NPSA Rome conference, and a passionate scholar in the field of neuroscience with the aim of building a bridge between neuroscientific and psychoanalytic perspectives. She is a member of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society (NPSA) and leads the NPSA Italian Group. She is the author of numerous publications as well as a conference speaker and lecturer on neuropsychiatric developmental disorders and psychoanalytical topics. R.
