Swedish Association for Neuropsychoanalysis
Description:
The Swedish Association for Neuropsychoanalysis formed in 2020. It is a group dedicated to understanding the theory behind modern neuropsychoanalysis, as well as its implications, both from a clinical perspective and from an organizational perspective. Our primary focus is to learn about the underpinnings and key concepts / applications of the frameworks introduced by Solms, Panksepp, Damasio and others. To do this we discuss different books, articles and videos together, as well as case examples from both the clinical world of individual psychotherapy as well as from the organizational consulting domain. As of December 2020 we have seven members who come from various domains, including individual psychotherapy work in addiction, organisational and role analysis based consulting, psychoanalysis, and mentalization based therapy. Our aim is to build the Swedish Association for Neuropsychoanalysis slowly, inviting people with a keen interest to learn, discuss and exchange and – as the association forms more and more – to start opening up to invite lecturers, create synergies with adjacent fields, and contribute to spreading the teachings from neuropsychoanalysis throughout Swedish society.
