NPSA Clinical Writing Workshop – September 2023

Follow-up meeting to our Clinical Writing Workshop held in February 2022.

Online via Zoom | Sep 9, 2023

Neuropsychoanalysis is coming of age as a field and after over twenty years of work there seems to be an increasing interest in its clinical implications. Neuropsychoanalytic approaches to neurological patients have been successfully reported both in books (e.g., Clinical Studies in Neuro-psychoanalysis: Introduction to a Depth Neuropsychology; From the Couch to the Lab; and the recently published Clinical Studies in Neuropsychoanalysis Revisited), and as case reports in various journals, including Neuropsychoanalysis. There has been a slower growth of the literature in relation to non-neurological patients. This follow-up workshop, open to all, creates space to develop ideas about how knowledge in neuropsychoanalysis is affecting everyday clinical work and psychoanalytic technique, and what considerations can influence publishing clinical reports. Documenting our progress, experiences and questions is a crucial task that will help to research and develop the topic as a community, and we can support each other in that work. The Editorial Team of the journal Neuropsychoanalysis is very pleased to invite anyone interested in clinical neuropsychoanalysis to attend, and extends a special welcome to potential authors who are interested in writing clinical reports and would like to raise questions and get suggestions about writing.
