This webinar will be approximately two hours long.
The Revised Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud was published this year. A companion set of four volumes of the Complete Neuroscientific Works of Sigmund Freud will appear later. This presentation will outline the impact that Mark Solms’s translation of Freud’s neuroscientific works had upon the editorial decisions he made regarding the revision of James Strachey’s translation of Freud’s psychological works. In doing so, he will also outline how our understanding of Freud’s psychological theories cannot be fully understood without tracing the continuities between his neuroscientific and psychological works.
